摘要
儒学以仁为核心,以忠恕为贯通,在修身、亲亲的基础上,努力做到泛爱众人,逐渐提升道德,完善人格。关公信仰的基点是儒学,关公的忠、义、仁、勇等品格完全契合《论语》《孟子》等典籍所展现的孔孟之道,并且具有普世价值。包括关公信仰在内的儒学,其教化的对象是人,教化的重点是道德,这不但避免了与佛、道等宗教派别在争夺信徒上的直接矛盾,还抓住了人之为人的根本,因而能在海内外得到广泛的传播。
Confucianism takes benevolence as the core, the loyahy and forgiveness as the rule. On the basis of self- cultivation and kinship, the Confucianism endeavors to achieve universal love and gradually improve morality and personality. The basic point of GUAN Gong＇s belief is Confucianism. GUAN Yu＇s loyalty, virtue, benevolence and heroism are fully consistent with the doctrine of Confucius and Mencius which were advocated in the classics ＂Ana- lects of Confucius＂ and ＂Meng Zi＂, Confucianism, including GUAN Gong＇s belief, aims at cultivating people and emphasizes to educate their morality. This not only avoids the direct contradiction to the struggles among religious believers of Buddhism, Daoism etc. , but also seizes the essence of human beings ; therefore, Confucianism is wide- ly disseminated both at home and abroad .
