摘要
语言禁忌是各个民族共有的社会现象,研究禁忌语的历史渊源,分析和比较中西禁忌语的异同,根本目的是在实际交际中进行得体的跨文化交际。
Verbal taboo,which exists in almost all aspects of our daily communication,is a common phenomenon.The article compared the differences and similarities of language taboos between English and Chinese through studying the history of taboo language so that people can communicate properly in daily life.
