摘要
英语频度副词,作为颇有特色的副词,其语义上的模糊性和句中位置的复杂性,往往给学习者带来困惑。本文作者从词语数量和是否明确频度时间对英语频度副词进行了分类。本文重点探讨的是英语不定期、独词项频度副词的时态特征、语义等级和结构关系。语义等级从四等分进行了更为细化的区分,而且把含有否定语义的频度副词纳入等级中。时态特征中重点探讨进行时态和频度副词搭配的特殊用法。频度副词在句中的结构关系主要围绕频度副词到底是修饰命题还是修饰动词展开。英语频度副词的探讨,有助于语言学习者的理解和应用,对教学也有积极的作用。
As distinctive verbs, English adverbs of frequency of- ten confuse learners with semantic ambiguity and the complexity of positions. The writer classifies English adverbs of frequency in accordance with the number of words and whether frequency time is made clear. This paper focuses on the temporal feature, se- mantic,hierarchy and structural relationship of English indefinite and word frequency adverbs. A more detailed distinction is made on semantic hierarchy based on four equal parts, and adverbs of frequency with negative meanings are included into the hierar- chy. On temporal feature, the writer focuses on the special use of the collocation of continuous tense and adverbs of frequency. On the structural relationship of adverbs of frequency, this paper main revolves around whether the verb modifies a statement or a verb. The exploration of English adverbs of frequency helps lan- guage learners＇ understanding and application, as well as teach- ers＇ teaching.
