摘要
地理因素对国家大战略的选择有不可忽视的影响。一国在应对霸权国或潜在的霸权国的扩张行为时,往往需要做出战略成本与战略收益的权衡。不管采取追随战略,还是采取制衡战略,地理因素始终是该国必须考虑的一项重要因素。既有研究主要关注地理因素对国家权力投送的负面影响,也即对霸权扩张有很大的抑制作用,国家的权力控制和影响力会伴随地理距离呈递减状态。通过学理分析和案例研究发现:地理因素对制衡霸权的扩张有重要作用,拥有地理优势的国家有可能成为霸权国家扩张行为的制衡国。地理优势成为国家做出制衡决策的催化剂,会促进国家采取制衡霸权扩张的战略。
IFrom geopohfics theory, geographical factors can play a different role in the phases of hegemony, such as the phase of rise, expansion, defense and decline, either to promote the rise of hegemony or impede the expansion of hegemony. Responding to the expansion of hegemonic behavior, when faced with the choice of costs and benefits, the states either to choose bandwagon strategies, or take the balance strategies. In many studies of international relations , geographical factors exert a significant negative impact on state＇ s power projection. That is to say, in the expansion phase of hegemony , the power of control and influence will decrease as the geographical distance from the state . Throughout the modern history of international relations , a state which has a geographical advantage is likely to choose the balance strate- gies when face the hegemonic expansion behavior, and the advantages of geographical factors precisely boost the dynamic mechanism of national decision - making. Geographical factors will promote the related states to take the strategic balance facing the expansion of hegemonic expansion, which will be verified in the theoretical and historical aspects of cases. Whether this assumption can continue to having reasonable and adaptation resistance in the circumstance of contemporary international relations, an appropriate view is presented in the conclusion part.
