摘要
宋人对于"理"的追求和对于"情"的避忌都极为严苛,稍涉风情之语即被视为流于"声色",被批判为"害于义理"之正。在此背景下,"贤者"却为"艳语",成为宋人不得不面对的一个阐释困境,如何在"主理"之诗学背景下为"主情"之创作事实争取到一个合法空间成为不少宋人努力的方向。对此,论者或是对"艳语"极力否认,或是为"贤者"积极辩白,却都无法掩盖"贤者作艳语"这一事实。其实放弃辩护,承认"强直之士,怀情正深"这一事实,使得"情"与"理"在"刚者必仁"的哲学层面达成和解,才是解决这一问题的关键。
People in Song dynasty were extremely strict and harsh about the pursuit of 'reason' and the evasion of 'sentiment'.Any language related to amorous affairs would be regarded as 'sensual pleasures' and criticized as being 'harmful to the righteousness of reason.'In such context,some 'virtuous persons',nevertheless,wrote 'amorous words',creating an interpretative dilemma which the Song people had to face.To achieve legitimacy for sentimentalist poetry in a rationalist poetic environment thus became the direction of efforts of many poets in Song dynasty.In this regard,some vehemently refuted the 'amorous words',while others vigorously defended the ' virtuous persons',but none could obscure the fact that 'the virtuous also wrote amorous words'.Actually,the key to resolve this problem lies in the reconciliation between 'sentiment' and 'reason' in the philosophical sense that ' upright men must be benevolent'.This can be achieved by giving up defense,and recognizing the fact that ' men of strength and integrity cherish deep emotions'.
