摘要
控制篇幅问题,从新方志编修一开始就提出来,在中指组的层面还有过硬性规定,但在实践中,篇幅膨胀问题越来越突出。对志书篇幅如何看待的问题,宜简宜繁,在讨论中各持所见。通过对此方面的研究做一些析论,提出文约事丰是理想的志书境界,讨论志书篇幅问题关键是要不要控制篇幅,何为篇幅适度。控制篇幅应重在内修,即提高编纂者控制志书篇幅的自觉意识和掌控能力。
The issue of controlling length was firstly raised when the new local records compilation work started,and there were hard-and-fast rules on the level of China Local Records Guidance Group,but in practice,the issue of inflating length became more and more prominent. The issue of how to treat local records' length has various views. This article analyzes researches on this issue and suggests that the ideal local records have rich contents in a concise length,and the key issue in the discussion of local records' length is whether or not length should be controlled and what is the appropriate length. The emphasis of controlling length should be put on self-cultivation,i. e. improving the consciousness and abilities of local records compilers in controlling length.
