摘要
鲜卑的族群起源问题,概括起来有服虔"山戎说"、胡广"东胡别种说"和应奉"秦朝亡徒说"等三种说法。看似相互矛盾的鲜卑起源三说,其实拥有着共同的认知基点,即对"鲜卑源自东胡"的一致认同。只是三位作者因为各自的人生际遇,或是论出公台案牍文书,或是执着于疏通经史义理,或是关心华夷互动的现实问题,方才形成偏颇各异的三种说法。此外,起源三说的殊途同归,还反映出了东汉士人在华夷认知意识上的纵深性——"东胡后裔"的身份建构,除了有异于"华夏"外,还有区别于"匈奴"的涵义,而这皆是基于"以夷制夷"的现实需要。
There are three versions about the origin of Xianbei ethnicity, which are seemingly contradictory to each other. As a matter of fact, the three versions boast common basic knowledge. That is the recognition of "Xianbei originating from Donghu ethnic group". Because of different circumstances in their own lives, the three authors formed discrepant versions. The authors respectively argue from archives, classics, history, righteous- ness, principle, and realistic issue of interaction between Hua nationality and foreign ethnicity. Additionally, the three versions of origination of Xianbei adopt different ways, but they have the same goal. And this also repre- sents the depth of cognitive awareness of Hua nationality and foreign ethnicity at that time. The identity construc- tion of "descendants of Donghu" is different from "Huaxia" as well as "Xiongnu", which is based on the realis- tic need of "controlling foreigners by foreigners".
