摘要
近代中国海关在传统中国与西方资本主义的影响下曲折发展,并在不同时期具有不同的特点,打下了深深的时代烙印。本文结合中国近代史和海关自身发展特质对粤海关的发端及历史脉络进行梳理,并在明确历史维度的基础上选取不同阶段具有代表性的问题,探寻海关史中折射出的近代社会变迁及其特征,试图进一步拓展海关史研究的深度和广度。
Influenced by traditional China and western capitalism, modern Chinese Maritime Cus- toms Service underwent tortuous development, presenting distinctive characteristics in different ep- ochs. This paper reviews the beginning and the chronological development of the Canton Customs on the basis of modern Chinese history and the development of Customs itself, and then approaches the most typical issues in different eras according to specific historical dimensions, so as to explore the social transition and characteristics reflected in the history of modern customs service and tentatively further ex- tend the depth and width of the research in customs history.
