This paper discusses the preservation of the poems＇ aesthetic effects in translation based on the reception aesthetics theory and the corpus from two English versions of The Story of the Stone. As Chinese traditional poems are part of world cultural treasure, the preservation of aesthetic effects in translation is of great importance in cultural communication.
