摘要
语言是文化的载体,语言中的词汇最能敏感地反映时代的发展和社会的变迁。英语词汇能够揭示诸多语言歧视现象。英语中的语言歧视主要表现为民族歧视、性别歧视、种族歧视以及阶层歧视等。随着国际交往的增加,尤其是英语在全球化中的作用的加强,歧视性语言的使用将逐步减少是英语未来发展的趋势。
Language is one of the carriers of culture,and vocabulary is the likeliest one that can reflect the development of times and changes in society. English language mainly manifests discrimination such as national discrimination,sexism,racism,and classism. With the increase in international communication,especially more important roles which English plays in the course of globalization,there is a trend of gradual decrease in the use of discriminatory English language.
