The paper introduces the application of video surveillance system in radio and television transmitting station. Aiming at the video surveillance system, the paper discusses the system design, system implementation and system function in detail, also illustrates the system composition, system characteristics and the system functions such as monitoring function, compression coding function, control function, and network function, simultaneously as well as the main technical points of processing function etc.
