摘要
商标是产品的"名片",好的汽车商标能够给汽车生产商带来直接的经济价值。本文分析了汽车商标命名的特点及功能,发现功能派目的论为汽车商标翻译提供了新的视角,并在此基础上提出了汽车商标翻译的六种方法:音译、直译、音意结合、意译、转译、零翻译。
Brand name is the name card of the commodity. A good automobile brand name can bring direct economic value for the manufacturer. This paper analyses the characteristics and functions of automobile brand names, and finds that skopostheorie opens up a new perspective for the translation of automobile brand name. In addition, the writer suggests six translation methods: transliteration, literal translation, combination of translite ration and literal translation, free translation, transitional translation and zero translation.
