威廉·福克纳,美国文学史上最具影响力的作家之一,一生共创作近百部长篇和短篇小说。其中短篇小说《干旱的九月》采用写实手法,生动的刻画出各个人物对这场九月里发生的"强暴罪行"的不同反应,体现出各个人物的鲜明心理特征,特别是女主人公明妮·库珀的内心发展。通过采用荣格精神分析理论之人格面具和阴影解析主人公明妮·库珀自编自导自演这场阴谋的真正原因。
William Faulkner, one of the most influential and productive writers in America, created nearly 100 novels long or short. Dry September is a short story which describes people＇s different responses to a so-called ＂rape crime＂ with detailed description of the heroine Minnie Cooper＇s psychological movement while showing distinctive psychological characteristics of different characters. Based on Jungian theory of persona, this paper analyzes the cause of Minnie Cooper＇s self-made conspiracy.
