摘要
文章在简述上海人民广场地区从跑马场到市民广场的历史变迁的基础上,着重对这一地区在不同时期的建筑形态、空间场景的变迁进行分析,认为不同时期的建筑与空间反映了相应历史时期的社会形态和城市文化。这一地段城市空间场景的转换伴随着该地段的主要功能、城市中的角色定位以及市民活动方式的变异:从租界时期的跑马娱乐,到相当长时间强调政治意识形态的市民集会游行,再到改革开放以来的多元文化休闲,该地区的空间形态和空间性质被彻底改变,被认为是上海在不同时期城市空间变迁及文化竞夺的又一例证。
Based on the historical changes of the People＇s Square in Shanghai, from the Race Course to the public square, this paper analyzes the transformation of architectural form and spatial narrative in different periods, and points out that buildings and spaces in different periods reflect thecorresponding social form and urban culture. The dramatic shifts in the urban spatial narrative along with the variation in the main functions of the area, in the configuration of the urban territory and in the public activities： from the sports and entertainment of the Concession time, to political gatherings during ideology-oriented period, and then to multuple leisure cultural activities, the urban form and spirit of the area has been completely changed, which was regarded as a special example characterizing the urban spatial changes and cultural competitions throughout different periods of Shanghai.
