Scanner-based image analysis is of increasing importantce for the measurement of fiber width and length.For length measurements on fibers in mm-scale no calibration standards are available on the market.To close this gap,the idea to conduct this round robin test was born within the working group‘fiber analytics＇ of the AVK-Industrievereinigung Verstrkte kunststoffe e.V.,Frankfurt/Germany.The test is a good and safe possibility to ensure inter-aboratorial harmonization and consistency of results.Finally,the round robin test enables a uniform measurement for scanner-based length analyses in mm-scale using the system Fibershape.
