The Tiger King was honored as "the beginning of world's ecological literature". In his work, Nicholas Baikov extols the harmonious beauty of nature in China's northeast original forest, and pays much attention to the relationship between human and nature, human and other biological patterns. The whole work, through the tiger's fate, conveys the author's deep philosophical thoughts towards the eco-environment, the relationship between human and nature, and human destiny. His novels have influenced the chinese writers in the northeast China at that time, including Yi Chi and Ni Kong.
