Objective To screen key influence factors in the amount of blood collection and to establish mathematical models for better guidance and guarantee of blood collection services. Methods The study was based on the" Nationwide Blood Collection and Supply Survey" that was carried out in 2015 by Chinese Society of Blood Transfusion (CSBT). Data from 325 services were used to study the correlation between blood collection amount and promotion funds, souvenir funds, regular donor's amount, blood collection facilities, regular blood collection sites, work force and financial allocation with software SPSS. Then, linear equations of single factor were established. After screening of the key influence factors, a multi- factorial linear regression equation could be established. Results The blood collection amount was closely correlated with the above factors ( r 〉 0. 5). The linear relationships were significant ( P 〈 0. 01 ). 7 of the above factors were the key influence factors in the amount of blood collection except" regular blood collection sites". They influence the amount of blood collection, coordinately by the model of y = 0. 062X1 + 0. 019x2 + 0. 148x3 + 0. 221x4 + 0. 005x5 + 0. 036x6 + 0. 007x7 - 2. 76. Conclusion In order to overcome the difficult situation in blood collection and supply and guarantee the clinical use of blood, blood collection services must conduct scientific analysis and rational use of these key factors and mathematical models.
