摘要
通过核磁共振波谱、热失重分析仪、差示扫描量热仪及凝胶渗透色谱研究了自聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯(PMMA)的分子链结构、热稳定性、相对分子质量及其分布,并对PMMA的自引发聚合机理进行了探讨。结果表明,与引发剂引发合成PMMA相比,自聚PMMA的相对分子质量更高,分布更宽;自聚PMMA分子链内均含有热不稳定的过氧键,致使其在130℃便开始降解,但它对PMMA的热稳定性没有影响;自聚合是由氧与甲基丙烯酸甲酯单体(MMA)反应形成低相对分子质量过氧化物引发的。
In this paper, the chain structure, thermal properties, molecular weight and its distribution of spontaneously polymerized poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) were characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and gel permeation chromatography (GPC). Meanwhile, the mechanisms of spontenous polymerization for methyl methylcacrlate (MMA) was disscussed. GPC results indicated that spontenously polymerized PMMA had a higher molecular weight and a wider distribution in comparison of the PMMA polymerized by using initiators. NMR and DSC measurements indicated that the spontenously polymerized PMMA contained peroxy bonds within its chain. These peroxy bonds are thermally instable, and their presence makes the thermal stability of PMMA poor without any effects on its heat resistance. It was also confirmed that the spontenous polymerization of MMA was initiated by the peroxides resulting from the reaction between MMA and oxygen.
