罗盘仪作为传统的、重要的测量磁方位角仪器,构造简单,使用和携带都较方便,施工快捷。在煤矿井下,它一般用以测量次要巷道、采煤工作面、给定施工巷道的掘进方向以及小型贯通工程测量为主。在中、小型煤矿中广泛运用。挂罗盘仪和半圆仪以及皮尺、测绳等是矿山罗盘测量的主要工具。
