摘要
针对现代文化中关于人是自足主体之观念的内在困惑,泰勒强调:人本质上是在处境关联中建构意义世界的存在者,并非完全自足的主体。泰勒立足存在论来探讨人之为人的构成基础:个体在其存在活动中展开其意义世界,而意义的澄清又深刻依赖文化共体;后者提供根源性的意义境域,人的存在为之导向而无限展开。泰勒不仅反思了共体文化价值对人的构成性意义,也为处理现代人所面临的自我困境提供了诊疗。
In terms of the internal puzzle about the idea that man is a self-sufficient subject in the modern culture, Taylor emphasizes that man is essentially the being of constructing the involvement in meaning inside the contextual correlation, rather than the entirely self-sufficient subject. Discussing the constitutive basis that man is to be a man from ontology, Taylor holds that an individual unfolds his involvement in meaning during his activities of existence while the clarification of meaning deeply relies on cultural community. Furthermore, the latter provides the meaning context of fundamental origin, with which the existence of man extends infinitely. Taylor not only reflects the significance of value of cultural community for constitution of man, but provides solutions to dealing with self-dilemmas that modern men face.
