摘要
把中国现当代文化文学发展的优秀成果介绍到西方,让中国文学"走出去"是几代人的梦想。但是从《中国文学》、《熊猫丛书》到《大中华文库》,译介效果并不理想。葛浩文译《狼图腾》的成功为中国现当代文学的英译提供了新的思路。由国外汉学家来译,权威出版社出版,充分考虑到译入语读者的理解和接受程度是现阶段中国文学英译的较好的道路。
Making Chinese literature ＂go out＂ and gain worldwide recognition and popularity has always been our dream. From Chinese Literature to The Panda Books, and The Chinese - English Library of Chinese Classics, Chinese authorities have been making great efforts but the results are not very satisfactory. The success of Wolf Totem translated by Howard Goldblatt has provided us with a new thinking of translating modern and contemporary Chinese literary works into English. It may be the best if the translation is done by Western sinologists and published by prestigious publishing house. As for the translating strategy, it is advisable to take the westerners＇ receptive ability into full consideration.
