The polyphyll flowering almond （Prunus triloba f. multiplex） is a form of the flowering almond （Prunus triloba）. It has double deep-pink flowers, flowering later than that of the flowering almond and it is a common ornamental shrub species in the north of China. In Chifeng City, the treelike shrubs of the polyphyll flowering almond were often harmed by three pest insects including Tent caterpillar （Malaeosoma neustria testacea）, Aphis gossypii and Proagopertha lucidula, and a wood-destroying fungus, Schizophyllum commune. Cultivating techniques for the little treelike seedlings of the polyphyll flowering almond were introduced and some advice was given on the measures that should be taken to control the four harmful organisms.
