摘要
进入21世纪的第二个十年,西方莎学研究继续蓬勃发展。从选题上看,西方莎学研究呈现多元、创新之势,但就研究方法而言,其实基本可分为两大类:"历史主义"和"当下主义"。前者强调莎士比亚创作的历史性,后者则结合当下研究莎士比亚。本文比较历史主义和当下主义研究的指导思想和方法实践,分析这两种研究方法的异同、出现的原因和意义,并评述新世纪以来西方莎学研究的现状。
Behind the staggering number and variety of topics of Shakespeare studies between 2010 and 2015, there are two fundamental and seemingly opposing approaches： the historicist and the presentist. This article, by comparing the theories and practices of historicism and presentism, seeks to analyze the cause of their rise and significance of their practice. It also offers a survey of Shakespeare studies in the West today.
