In order to explore the lowest soil water content suitable for wet-cultivated water dropwort (Oenanthe stolonifera D.C.) to grow in spring, wet cultivation of 2 new water dropwort lines D07 and G0601 were studied between March and May in spring at 4 soil relative water contents, which were, 60%-70%, 70%-80%, 80%-90% and 90%-100%. The results showed that the D07 line's yield was the highest at soil relative water content of 80%-90% and its crude fiber content was 6.48 mg/g-FW, the G0601 line's yield was the highest at soil relative water content of 90%-100% and the products' crude fiber content was 6.64 mg/g-FW, when the both of the products' crude fiber contents were the lowest during the four different soil water contents, their soluble protein arid soluble sugar were in a higher degree. According to the yield and quality of the wet-cultivated water dropwort, we found that the soil relative water content of 80% was the lowest limit suitable for growth of the D07, and the soil relative water content of 90% was the lowest limit suitable for growth of the G0601.
