摘要
语言是不断发展演变的,其变异遵守Zipf提出的省力原则,即语言发展的趋势是越来越简化。基于这样的理念本文认为语音变异也遵守省力原则,该原则支配语音变异的三大理据,即生理理据、交际理据和心理理据,其中生理理据观照下的同化、送气/不动气等现象可以解释"怎么就省力了"而交际理据和心理理据观照下的弱化、脱落、增音、异化及不完全爆破可以解释"为什么要省力"。在这三大理据中,生理理据是语音变异的内因,而交际理据和心理理据是受语境影响的,是语音变异的外因。另外,本文认为语音变异还遵守一定的审美原则。
Language is constantly evolving,and its change follows Zipf＇s Principle of Least Effort,i. e.,language is becoming more and more simplified. Based on the belief,this thesis argues that phonetic changes also abide by the Zipf＇s principle,which governs three motivations for phonetic changes,i. e.,physiological motivation,communicative motivation and psychological motivation.This thesis maintains that the phonetic changes of assimilation and aspiration / unaspiration based on the physiological motivation specify＂how is the least effort of articulation realized＂,while the phonetic changes of weakening,elision,intrusion,dissimilation and incomplete plosion based on the communicative motivation and the psychological motivation give evidence to＂Why do people make less effort of articulation＂. Among the above three motivations,the physiological one is the internal factor for phonetic changes,while the communicative motivation and the psychological motivation,sensitive to a certain context,are the external factors for phonetic changes. Also,this paper holds that phonetic changes follow the Principle of Most Pleasantness.
