摘要
世博会具有提升和传播国家形象的作用,反映了与会地区、国家的基本风貌。晚清中国先后数次在世博会中亮相,以建筑、景观及展品等传递出特定的中国文化符号,演绎和定格着中国当时在世博舞台上的国际形象。晚清历届世博会中国国家形象表达经历了一个由自发、半自觉到自觉的过程,对中国国家形象的国际建构产生了积极影响。
The World Expo has the function to enlarge the national image, which reflects the basic features and the fierce competition of the region and the country. China appeared several times during the Late Qing Dynasty in different World Expo. In addition,different architectures, landscape and exhibits transferred the specific Chinese cultural symbols, and deducted the international image of China at the World Expo stage. To an extent it has a profound impact to China 's basic world view and Western cognition to China. By reviewing the process of the Chinese national image of the World Expo stage during the Late Qing Dynasty, it was a spontaneous, semi-conscious and conscious process.
