The mechanism and characteristics of carbon disulphide adsorption process by activated carbon are introduced. The carbon disulphide adsorption rate of 98% or more could be achieved. The working mechanism, structural features, operation parameters and critical operational considerations are discussed in details in combination with the experience obtained from running the facilities in actual production. Actions were taken to address the existing technical problems to meet the specification.
