摘要
翻译界在习语翻译上存在巨大误区。教科书不知道何为习语。普遍认为,习语翻译的结果不一定是习语,却仍称作是习语翻译,直译、意译、注释法等是习语翻译的方法。习语是具有双重意义的固定短语,习语翻译的结果一定是习语才是习语翻译,习语翻译的方法是套译,策略是鲁迅提倡的"保存洋气"。
There has been a misunderstanding in the translating of idioms that not all the results of the translating is the idioms of another language.In the direction of this misunderstanding , the techniques of liter-ary translationn , liberal translation , explanation translation are used to translating idioms .All of these tech-niques result in the production of phrases or short sentenses which are non -idioms.The only technique for translating idioms is to translate idioms in the source language with the idioms in the target language .
