摘要
针对L波段合成孔径雷达图像尚无波浪反演算法的问题,提出了利用高级陆地观测卫星(ALOS)搭载的相控阵列L波段合成孔径雷达(PALSAR)在日本近海的图像发展的算法,反演得到了涌浪参数(包括波长和波向)。研究假设L波段SAR对涌浪的成像机制为线性的,通过图像处理得到了高质量的PALSAR图像谱,从此谱可计算得到谱峰值波长和波传播方向。此图像谱所固有的180°方向模糊,可利用涌浪只向近岸传播的特点解决。通过对反演和日本"全国港湾海洋波浪情报网"(NOWPHAS)现场观测的波参数的比较,波长的偏差是-10.5m,均方差是18.3m,相关系数是0.94;波向的偏差是-1.3°,均方差是15.5°,相关系数是0.94。上述数据表明,反演方法中将L波段PALSAR对涌浪的成像机制假设为线性是可行的。
Swell parameters i.e.,wavelength,and wave propagation direction(wave direction)of Japan coastal seas have been retrieved from images of the Phased Array type L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar(PALSAR)on board the Advanced Land Observing Satellite(ALOS).Since there is little study using L band SAR data,this is our first try to derive coastal swell information from such data.Under the assumption that imaging mechanism of swell is nearly linear,the image will not be distorted and will keep its original pattern.We processed the L band PALSAR data to obtain high quality SAR image spectra,from which the swell wavelength and wave direction can be retrieved.The problem of the inherent 180°direction ambiguity was solved by considering the fact that swells only propagate toward the coast.The comparison between SAR-derived wave parameters and in-situ observations showed good agreement with reasonable bias,root mean-square error and promising correlation coefficient.These results imply that it is feasible to assume a linear L-band SAR imaging mechanism for swells.
