摘要
民族主义和世界主义是美国历史和社会发展的两大动力源。由于具有宗教和政治哲学上的共源性,二者表现为文化上的二元一体特征:其民族主义是世界主义的民族主义,其世界主义则是民族主义的世界主义。这是美国内政外交兼具强烈理想主义和现实主义双重特征的原因所在,这同时也是理解美国左右翼政治思想话语重叠的锁钥。
Nationalism and cosmopolitanism are two motive forces of the American history and the social development.Because of the common origins of religion and political philosophy,both of them,culturally,express a dual body characteristic：Its nationalism is cosmopolitanist,and its cosmopolitanism is nationalist.This is reason why there are concurrently intense idealist and realist dual characteristic in the American internal and foreign affairs.In the same time,it is why there are so much overlapping in the political traditions of American left and right.
