摘要
作为当代美国高等教育改革的设计师,克拉克·克尔在《大学的功用》一书中阐述了"多元化巨型大学"。基于历史渊源和现实背景,该书构建了一个规模庞大,具有大学目的、大学职能、大学组织机构、大学管理模式多元化特征的大学,纯粹学术是"多元"中心的理论体系,其理念对当下我国高校改革具有重要的启示意义。
Clark Kerr, the architect of contemporary American higher education reform, elaborates the connotation of ＂Multiversity＂ in The Uses of the University. Based on historical origin and realistic background, Clark Kerr established a purely academic-centered theory system on the purpose of constructing a large-scale multiversity with diversified purposes, functions, organizations as well as management models. His ideal has great revelatory significance in Chinese higher educational reform.
