摘要
叶春及曾任惠安知县,以清官能吏著称。他在修志方面颇有成就,世人称"其矫矫有史才"。他所编纂的万历《顺德县志》,为顺德现存的第一本县志,具有地图精美、述论结合、善恶兼著、求实取精等特点。该志具有多方面的价值与功能,不仅彰显了存史之功、资治之鉴、教化之用,而且还奠定了顺德地方史之基,对保护与整理顺德地方文献贡献颇巨。
Ye Chunji was once the Huian magistrate,famous as an uncorrupted competent official and praised by the people. He achieved great accomplishments in writing literary works and rectifying local records. He was one of the five‘Man of the West Lake＇in Huizhou and known as an excellent historian.＂Shunde County Annals＂he compiled in Wanli of Ming Dynasty is the first existing county annals in Shunde,with pretty maps,combining descriptions and discussions,recording both the good and the bad,and seeking for facts and accurate data. The county annals not only plays a part in preserving historical evidence,providing reference for governance and civilization,but also saves several valuable historical materials of Shunde and makes enormous contributions to local document sorting of Shunde.
