摘要
劳榦是现当代享誉海内外的著名史学家,他对两汉史的研究取得了开创性的贡献,影响所及,直至于今。他之所以能在两汉史领域取得卓著成就,缘于史语所中傅斯年、陈寅恪等学者的精心培养。史语所不仅奠定了劳榦史学研究的基本格局,而且开启了他两汉史研究的多重面相。他的两汉史研究,一方面承继了清代朴学家治史的优良传统,另一方面则受到近代以来新理论、新史料、新方法的陶铸,因而在两汉政治制度史、兵制史与历史地理等诸多学术领域开创了学术研究的新局面。认真总结劳榦两汉史研究的学术遗产,不仅裨益于秦汉史学科的深层建构,而且可为当今史学的发展增加推动力。
Lao Gan, the well known historian, has made the pioneering contribution in Han Dynasty, the impact of which has existed till now. He has owed much to scholar Fu Si-nian and Chen Yin-ke in these great achievements. The Institute of History and Philosophy （IHP） has not only helped Lao Gan lay the pattern of historical research, but also inspired his different points of view. His research has inherited the fine traditions from School Pu in Qing Dynasty and has been influenced by the new theories, new historical datum and new methods in modern times. Therefore, he has broken new grounds in many academic fields like history of political system in Western and Eastern Han Dynasties, military organization, history and geography. The research of Lao Gan＇ s academic legacy not only benefits the structure building of the subject of Qin and Han Dynasties, but also promotes the development of modern historiography.
