摘要
秦方奇主编的《〈豫报〉〈河南〉与中国现代文化》一书作为期刊研究的新成果,具有三个方面的价值。一是史料完备、考证详实,填补了两刊研究的学术空白;二是对文学、文化研究具有独特的借鉴意义;三是佐证了近代期刊及留学群体在现代民族国家形成、现代性起源问题上的重要作用。
The book Yubao, Henan and Modern Chinese Culture written by Qin Fangqi is the newest achievement of periodical re- search. The book is valuable in three aspects. Firstly, complete historical materials and detailed textual research fill the gap of academ- ic research on the two periodicals. Secondly, it has unique reference significance for literary and cultural studies. Thirdly, the study proves the significance of the modem periodicals and overseas students for the formation of modem nation-state and the origin of moder- nity.
