摘要
现存庚辰本第十九回无回目,对此红学界多认为此系曹雪芹之责任,亦即庚辰定本时曹雪芹尚未完成该回回目之创作。其实庚辰定本时《石头记》该回之回目已经完备,庚辰本第十九回之所以无回目,系庚辰本底本正文"抄录之人遗漏"。此点有六个方面之证据可以证明。
No chapter heading can be found for Chapter 19 in the existing Gengchen Version. Many scholars in the academic circle of A Dream of Red Mansions studies place the responsibility on Cao Xueqin, assuming that he didn＇t finish writing the chapter when the version was fixed up. Actually, the chapter heading was already complete when The Story of the Stone was compiled in definitive edition. No chapter heading of Chapter 19 for the Gengchen version resulted from the omission through negligence by the then copier. It can be proved in six aspects.
