摘要
教育的立足点是"为己"而不是"为人",教育的目的不是知识的灌输、技能的培训而是人格的培养:反身而诚,立身为本;存养正性,本乎斯文;化性起伪,知所措履。通过"反身而诚",体认"万物皆备于我",认识自己的"正性""至德",唤醒自我,建立自信;化性起伪,认清自我的本来面貌,明确自己的社会责任,改造自我、完善自我。完成了自我实现,才能具备独立之人格、自由之思想,才谈得上履行社会责任与义务。为己与为人,才能辩证统一。以此为基础,才能传修己治人之道,授古文六艺之业,才能明确师生的职责、义务,正确地应对师生关系。
The foothold of education is for oneself rather than others,and the purpose of education is not to gain knowledge and train skills. Education aims to train personality that includes "introspection and sincerity","cultivating one's morality"and"transforming human nature by establishing moral values". Through"introspection and sincerity"one is likely to realize "all are for oneself",know correct characters and highest ethic and arouse self-consciousness to build self-confidence. Through transforming human nature one is likely to know the true colours of oneself,define one's own social responsibility and transform oneself to perfect oneself. After finishing self-realization,one can have independent personality and free thought to further fulfill the social responsibility and obligation.Thus,doing things for oneself and others can achieve dialectical unity. Based upon those talked above,teachers can preach way to cultivate themselves and treat people,teach the ancient Chinese prose and classical Chinese six arts.In this way,teachers can clarify the responsibility of teachers and students,and correctly deal with the relationship between teachers and students.
