摘要
诺贝尔文学奖得主J.M.库切的作品里不乏对现代文明社会下人的生存环境的关注,体现出浓重的生态责任感和社会责任感。文章从生态文学批评的视角解读其扛鼎之作《等待野蛮人》中的生态整体主义思想,分别从人类对自然的犯罪导致的自然生态危机、人性的丧失和文明的偏颇导致的社会生态危机和个体的沦落导致的精神生态危机三方面具体揭示文本中展露的多重危机以及现代人在这些危机之下所遭遇到的生存困惑。
Although J. M. Coetzee, the 2003 Nobel Prize laureate in literature, can' t be called an ecological litterateur, he has showed much concern on human living environment in modern civilized society in his works, which embodies his strong responsibilities on ecology and the society. The present study tries to interpret ecological holism in his famous novel Waiting for the Barbarians from the perspective of ecological literature criticism, and aims to demonstrate the multiple crises in the novel, including natural eco - crisis caused by human' s crime against the nature, social eco - crisis by human loss and the bias of civilization, spiritual eco - crisis by the individual deterioration, and the living dilemma the modern people suffer from those crises.
