摘要
汉英语言表达不同,根植于中西思维方式不同。中国传统的"取象"思维是在整体直观中把握事物的共性,体现为汉语对事物内在关系的突出。西方"抽象"思维则通过逻辑分析取舍事物属性,揭示其本质属性,体现为英语实体突出的表达习惯。然而,"取象"思维和"抽象"思维的冲突并非无法调和。通过知识与语言体验的积累,辅之以合理的教学内容和训练,可以建立思维转换通道,化解两种思维方式的冲突,有效提升外语教学效果。
The differences between Chinese and English expressions derive from their distinctive ways of thinking respectively. Traditional Chinese "Quxiang"thinking is accustomed to grasp generality through integral intuition,which is presented in relationoriented Chinese expressions,while the Western "Abstract"thinking discloses the essence via logical analysis and refining,which is obvious with entity-oriented expressive customs. However,the conflict between "Quxiang"thinking and "Abstract"thinking can be coordinated. By virtue of accumulating knowledge and learning experience along with appropriate curriculum and training,a switch tunnel can be formed in order to make the coordination between these two ways of thinking possible,which further improves the foreign language teaching.
