摘要
本文结合定量和定性分析,通过比较高低水平组在语法填空题和语法选择题的得分、各题项答案和解题过程的不同,探究语法测试中的方法效应与语法水平的交互作用。结果表明,高低水平组在两种测试方法的成绩均有显著差异,高低水平组分别有34.6%和54.9%的答案前后发生变化,两种测试方法解题过程使用的语法知识和策略均存在差异。说明测试方法与水平之间存在交互作用,不同的测试方法对高低水平组造成不同程度的影响。
The present paper investigates test method effect on grammatical performance of test- takers at lower and higher proficiency levels by directly comparing their test scores,individual responses and test- taking processes in the gap- filling cloze grammar test and the multiple- choice cloze grammar test. The results show that for both lower and higher groups,their scores in two test formats are significantly different,their responses have changed in about 54. 9% and 34. 6% of the overall items answered respectively and their test- taking processes in terms of grammatical knowledge and strategy use also differ between two test formats. It can be concluded that different test methods affect grammatical performance of test- takers at lower and higher proficiency levels to varying degrees.
