摘要
以本校2015年全国大学英语竞赛题A、C类初赛考试写作部分为例,随机抽取作文样本进行数据收集。通过SPSS统计软件分析写作类答题情况及写作中的篇章结构、词汇、语法、句型、过渡词使用等数据的搜集与整理,了解学生英语写作情况。调研不同学业阶段学生类学生书面表达能力是否存在显著性差异。结果表明:写作题总分的离散程度高,学生中的写作能力差异较大。文科或理科学习背景对学生的写作能力无显著影响。A、C类考生的答题得分情况无显著性差异。不同的阅卷老师在评阅作文给分时存在显著性差异。A类考生在语法、句法结构上错误低于C类考生,在使用过渡词上高于C类考生;A、C类学生在篇章结构及过渡词的使用上存在显著性的差异,但在拼写、语法句法错误方面无显著性差异。
Based on writing tasks from Level A/C-Preliminary of 2015 National English Competition for College Students inHunan Normal University, we collected test data to get information about students' English writing performance. Using SPSSstatistical software, this paper aimed to analyze correlations between writing scores and some other variables(markers, spelling,syntactic and grammatical errors, text organization and transition words) respectively. It analyzed whether there existed significantdifferences of students' writing performance between liberal art majors and science majors, and whether there existed significantdifferences of students' writing techniques between A level participants and C level participants. Results indicated the range ofwriting scores was obvious among the same level participants, which implied that there was great difference in students' writingperformance. And there were significant differences in students' writing performance between liberal art majors and sciencemajors. A level participants had less grammatical syntactical errors than C level participants did, but they tended to use moretransition words. There existed significant differences in text organization and transition words application, but no significantdifferences in the number of spelling, and grammatical errors.
