摘要
2015年一篇题为"浙江龙游石榴石角闪岩(退变榴辉岩):华夏加里东期碰撞造山事件的新证据"的论文发表在《科学通报》第13期上(陈相艳等,2015).但是作者提供的岩相学和矿物化学证据明显不足,加里东期高压-超高压变质作用的结论与区域地质背景也不吻合.结合我们对野外和岩相学特征的观察,可以认为该石榴石角闪岩没有经历过榴辉岩相的变质作用,不能作为加里东碰撞造山的证据.
A paper titled as “Retrograde garnet amphibolite from eclogite of the Zhejiang Longyou area: New evidence of the Caledonian orogenic event in the Cathaysia block” was recently published in Chinese Science Bulletin(Chen et al., 2015). However, the petrographic features and mineral compositions that authors provided cannot demonstrate that high-pressure or ultra-high pressure metamorphism occurred in the area in Early Paleozoic. Moreover, this conclusion is inconsistent with regional geological background. Combined with our field survey and petrographic observations, it can be inferred that this garnet amphibolite did not experience eclogite-facies metamorphism, and cannot be taken as evidence for the Caledonian collisional orogeny.
