摘要
秦墨哂供职《申报》馆,是民国社会很有名的报人,但多年来对他的研究很少。秦早年留日,在士官学校学习军事,回国后辅佐吴禄贞将军治兵延吉,后随吴禄贞将军到北洋军第六镇参加辛亥革命。民国政府成立后,国内战争不断,兵权日益受到重视,秦墨哂旧目的同事大多致身显贵,唯独秦墨哂放弃军权改行在北京从事新闻记者工作。由于秦墨哂在新闻界的声誉,曾任北平新闻记者公会执监委联合会主席。本文就从报人秦墨哂在北洋政府时期维护国家主权和新闻工作者合法权益、营救同行说起。
Qin Moxi was a well--known newspaperman who worked for Shen Pao in Republican era. He was a foreign student majoring in military in Japan during his early years, and after he had come back to China he became an aide to general Wu Luzhen. After the founding of the republican government, Qin＇s former colleagues became powerful figures inside the government but he chose to continue his career as a journalist. Due to his reputation in the press, he was made president of Peking Journalists＇ Association.
