摘要
当前仍在持续发酵的国际金融危机宛如一面镜子,使西方民主制度的沉疴流弊和巨大危害都暴露无遗,它具有普世性的各种论调因而失去了思想舆论的土壤。在此背景下,反思和变革西方民主制度正迅速成为世界舆论一个无法回避的主题。透过当今世界舆论对西方民主制度的反思,深入分析西方民主制度的实质,对我们更好坚持制度自信,深入推进中国特色社会主义民主政治建设,具有重要意义。
Like a mirror, the continually fermenting global financial crisis uncovers thoroughly the deep-rooted defects and tremendously detriment influence of western democratic institutions, which deprive universality myths of ideological basis. Under the circumstances, reflecting upon and reforming western democratic institutions promptly became an unavoidable theme. It is of paramount significance for us to deeply analyze the essence of Western democratic institutions through global media's reflection on them in a bid to hold our confidence in domestic institutions and further promote the socialist democracy with Chinese characteristics.
