摘要
文章论述了利用传统陶土材料进行数字化建造的设计方法研究。文章主要分为三个部分:首先,从传统工艺出发,解读陶土的材料特性、文化属性以及建造工艺;其次,回顾与总结全球范围内,将数字技术与传统材料相结合的案例;最后,详细阐述了同济大学数字设计研究中心在数字制陶建造工艺的找形与建造等方面的研究,并深入介绍了机器人陶土打印的生产过程。这项研究的核心意义是深远的,随着数字化工具的引入,传统工艺得到了继承与提升,推动陶土材料实现更加复杂的材料性能目标,同时,数字制陶工艺是连接传统与未来的桥梁。
This paper illustrates a design methodology of revitalizing traditional ceramic material through digital fabrication.The paper consists of three parts,which firstly studied on the material properties,cultural attributes and fabrication process of pottery based on traditional crafts;Secondly,reviewed and summarized cases which integrate digital technologies with traditional materials on a global scale;and thirdly,elaborated the research of DDRC(Tongji Digital Design Research Lab) on digital ceramic design in terms of form finding and robotic fabrication,especially the production process of robotic ceramic deposition process.The key implication of this research is profound:with the introduction of digital tools,traditional crafts are inherited and improved through the achievement of complex performative aesthetics of the material.Meanwhile,digital fabrication technology based on robotic platform shows potential in bridging the gap between tradition and future of architectural design.
