摘要
河南近代化属于典型的依靠政治力量自上而下的后发型区域近代化。督、抚等地方大吏在河南近代化进程中扮演着重要的角色。1903—1906年,陈夔龙抚豫期间,竭力推行教育改革,通过造就师资、广筹学款、严定奖惩、发展专门教育、派遣留学生等措施,使清末河南教育落后的状况得到一定的改善,加速了新知识和新思想的传播,在一定程度上推动了河南教育近代化的进程。
The modernization of Henan belongs tothe backward areaofmodernization whichrelies on political power from top to bottom.From 1903 to 1906, he vigorously promotes the reform of education,through training teachers, preparatory school funds,making firm rewards and punishments, development of specialized education, sending students abroadand so onand so forth, during Chen Kui-long was governing Henan, which periodmakes Henan in the late Qing dynasty education backward condition had been improved greatly to a certaindegree, accelerated the spreading of new knowledge and new ideas. It promoted Henan' s educational modernization process in a certain extent.
