摘要
列夫·托尔斯泰和孔子是不同时代、不同民族的文化哲人,他们的文艺观在关于文艺与人心、文艺与社会等问题上,有很多相似之处。托尔斯泰认为真正的艺术应表现具有人类共通性的感情,能起到团结整个人类的作用;而这也正是孔子的"兴"与"群"的涵义。虽然两位哲人的文艺观也存在某些差异,但重要的是提醒我们,比较文学的确要多关注不同文学传统中具有共通内涵的命题和观念。
Although Lev Tolstoy and Confucius are from different eras and different nations, they share some similarities on artistic views such as on the relation between art and humanity, literature and society. Tolstoy thinks the real art can speak out common emotions of humans and can play the role of uniting the entire community, which is just in accordance with Confucius＇ views on the social function of poetry. There naturally exist some differences between the artistic views of the two philosophers, which more importantly reminds us of the importance of paying more attention to the connotation of the common propositions and views from different literary traditions as for comparative literature.
