摘要
无论是小说还是电影,《狼图腾》获得的广泛关注以及激烈争论都使之成为一个值得探究的文化现象。论文认为《狼图腾》中"知青"、"狼性"、"生态"因素的共同作用是其大获成功的必要条件,而作者将其上升为本质化的民族性格批判,文明优劣论,则对应着某种强权想象;其引发的争议,也折射出中国社会转型过程中的集体性焦虑。《狼图腾》凸显了中国当代文化的诸多症候,或者说它本身就是这症候的表现之一。
The extensive attention to and heated debate about The Wolf Totem —be it in the form of a novel or a movie—has rendered it into a cultural phenomenon worthy of exploration. As opined in this paper,the interaction of such factors as＂educated youths＂,＂the wolf nature＂and＂ecology＂in The Wolf Totem is the essential condition for the success of the book while the author＇s upgrading of the book to the essential national character criticism and the merits and demerits of civilization is homologous to some power imagination. Moreover,the subsequent debate thus caused is also reflective of the collective anxiety in the process of China＇s social transformation. The Wolf Totem highlights numerous symptoms of contemporary Chinese culture or can said to be one of representations of the symptoms.
