American writer Sherwood Anderson＇s Death in the Woods is considered as one of his notable works. The value of life and the implication of death is explored, along with the alienation and distortion of people caused by the materialized world. The narratological analysis shows the author＇s facility for writing and originality in narrative style, which is embodied in his combination of different focuses of narration and his preference for simplicity and plainness.
