指出了通道县地处雪峰南端,桂北、黔东南山地和南岭山地的交汇地带,地形以中低山为主,属亚热带湿润季风气候。森林植被繁茂,动植物种类繁多。深入实地年对野生动物进行了调查研究,研究表明:已鉴定野生动物263种,隶属于31目93科。其中鱼纲4目15科51种;两栖纲2目8科19种;爬行纲3目10科39种;鸟纲15目42科115种;哺乳纲7目18科39种。
Tongdao County,located in the south of Xuefeng Mountain,is in the joint area of north Guangxi, southeast Guizhou and Nanling Mountains. With diverse geographic environment and subtropical humid monsoon climate, it is featured with different weather in four seasons and plentiful rainfall. The forest has lush vegetation and many animals survive in this prosperous forest. In recent years,the researchers have conducted field investigations which focus on wildlife,in which 263 species have been identified,including 31 orders and 93 families. Among them,there are 51 fish species in 4 orders and 15 families;19 amphibian species in 2 orders and 8 families;39 reptile species in 3 orders and 10 families;ll5 bird species in 15 orders and 42 families;and 39 mammal species in 7 orders and 18 families.
