摘要
广州的饮茶小吃文化闻名海内外,是最著名的旅游形象之一,其丰富的文化内涵不言而喻。对隐喻的翻译不仅需要把字面意义从一种语言转换到另一种语言,还需把其隐含的意义从一种文化传播到另一种文化,从认知隐喻的角度入手,通过实例分析说明:食物意象翻译过程是跨领域的隐喻映射活动,抽象概念需通过具体的物理性概念来表达,从而说明在旅游英语翻译中应重视认知隐喻的价值。
Guangzhou is far-famed for its dimsum culture,one of the most famous tourism image at home and abroad,rich in cultural connotation.Metaphor translation needs not only to convert the literal meanings from one language to another,but also to render the implicit meanings from one culture to another.From the perspective of cognitive metaphor and by analyzing concrete examples,it illustrated that food image translation is a metaphorical mapping activity across domains,the comprehension of abstract concepts should be understood through concrete or physical concepts,and that cognitive metaphor should be valued in tourism rendering industry.
